1971 Yamaha FG180 Red Lable Nippon Gakki this one we nick named... Hippy and she has THE TONE of a vintage Martin D-28 ..oldie but goodie WoW!...
Sorry SOLD this one... but NO WORRIES we have another FG180 thats very clean Vintage....ask Here we have a surprisingly beautiful Nippon Gakki Japanese Crafted vintage D-28 Martin copy from the great Yamaha company who know tone very well..Ok these are not know for fancy inlays or even fancy woods like so many others they just got down to the business of making guitars that sound great and are affordable and this is a prime example of what they can do. This guitar I purchased a few years ago and have used this guitar myself and only just recently decided to let her go... This one I purchased from a Musician artist in San Francisco in 2008 and it has been played as you can clearly see from the pictures but what you can not see is this guitar has had the Bridge Doctor system installed when I got it and it plays amazingly well and the volume is HUGE as is the tone rich & full tone this is a D-28 eater... This will surprise all that hear it from her looks to her tone wow... Read up on the Bridge doctor and you will see some great advantages to this system being installed and one of the advantages is BIG TONE... It really works and I am now a believer ...so much so that I have decided to carry the Bridge Doctor system i stock now. Taylor guitars come from the factory new with the bridge Doctor installed.. Please look that all up...anyway this guitar looks beat but its not really its completely sound and has no neck cracks or separations, the action is very good and the top is nice & flat as is the bridge ala The Bridge Doctor.... The tuners are doing a great job of keeping her in tune and this guitar has excellent intonation... This is an excellent guitar to tour with, record, or home play... where ever you play it.. the sound is superior... OLD GROWTH WOODS I forgot to mention that the neck is made of solid Honduran Mahogany. This baby is now well over 40+ years old and she has come into its own and mellowed tone wise like fine wine. This old guitar is in very-good to excellent worn & beat looking condition... just as seen but overall I think its a vintage Beauty... I know its not for everyone some must have near mint and pretty.. keep looking if that's what you really want no worries because we have those pretty guitars too in stock as well but this one is for the person that sees the beauty in this vintage piece its a classic fully ready to record and sound as good as that D-28 Martin tonight... and no need to spend $2500 or more to get it either.
