This is a 2006 Epiphone Broadway Hollowbody Electric guitar
BACK STORY:
The Broadway has been part of the Epiphone catalog since 1931 when founder Epi Stathopoulo introduced the Masterbilt Archtop Collection. Inspired by his father Anastasios who founded the original company as the House of Stathopoulo, Epi was determined to make great sounding instruments with quality materials that were affordable to working musicians--a model that Epiphone still follows today. The original Epiphone showroom on West 14th Street in Lower Manhattan was open to the leading guitarists of the day like Les Paul and George Van Eps who all played a part in inspiring and shaping the modern Broadway. And today, the Epiphone showroom in Nashville still hosts the world's top guitarists like Billboard Jazz chart topper Nick Colionne who performs with his Epiphone Broadway at jazz festivals around the world.
Select Spruce Top
The Epiphone Broadway hollowbody archtop features a Laminated Maple body with a Select Spruce top finished in Vintage Natural. The Hard Maple neck has a SlimTaper C-Profile with a 25.5" scale length, a 12" radius, and a Pau Ferro fingerboard with "block and triangle" mother-of-pearl & abalone inlays. The body, fingerboard, and headstock have multi-ply ivory and black binding. The headstock has a traditional 'clipped ear' design with Epiphone's original 1940s era Mother-of-Pearl "Vine" Inlay. The tortoise style pickguard has a metal "E" emblem.
Alnico Classic Humbuckers
The Broadway is powered by Epiphone Alnico Classic Humbuckers made with Alnico V magnets for a warm and detailed response. Controls for each pickup's Volume and Tone turn on Black Speed Dials along with a traditionally wired 3-way pickup selector.
Frequensator Split Trapeze
One of the Broadway's most recognizable features is its gold Frequensator Split Trapeze tailpiece, an improved design that compensates for string length and allows for maximum resonance and accurate intonation. The Broadway also features gold Grover Rotomatic machine heads with an improved 18:1 tuning ratio and a Pau Ferro fully adjustable floating bridge. An optional hard case is also available. - ask
