78 Takamine f340 faithful D-18 law suit model Japan Sold

Just SOLD OUT folks Here we have a fine Classic example of a well preserved and faithful to the original design timeless D-18 know as a great Lead guitar with lots of volume and strong upper register for brilliant tone to stand out in the mix.... excellent for rythem and fingerpicking this vintage Lawsuit era Takamine f340 captures the essence of the Originals with a real luthier built instrument amd was made to stand the test of time as it has for over 40 years its hard to believe buy looking more like its a 2 year old ...but its not its over 40 and is a true vintage D-18 in its own right Japanese set out to build the best in this period era to prove to the world... something to prove sorting to gain at that time Japan's economy with doing very well and they outbid the US competors on premium woods... tons of it... they beat the US manufactures to the punch with the earliest Reissue if you will all be it non sanctioned thus the threat of the famous lawsuits ... 40 years old, not a crack or finish check to be seen , absolutely no structural issues, set up is excellent , Martin strings, bone saddle, Top is nice and pretty flat and no pulling or lifting or issues or cracks with that bridge its going nowhere and neck angle is perfect the frets are still 90%++ neck is a medium C profile 1-11/16ths at its bone nut. Truss rod works fine. Nice sealed tuners working excellent they appear to be the originals as well , fit and finish is excellent with only minute impression or hint of a ding here or there but I had to look at it for a long time to find anything, Iv carred this model for 25 years I love it, I have a Martin D-18 and love it but I also own Takamine and have the highest respect for them. Speaking of respect that is what this guitars previous owner obviously had for this instrument its like someone was the cartaker all these years just for its new proud owner... I find this guitar is fun to play and you will want to dig in she has excellent tone. Re: Tone and top... this guitar is the F340 and the lack of the "S" is suppose to mean it is a laminate top.... hold on there I have collected them all with these old Tak's the 307-310-330-340=360-370-375k-375sw and others.... I have had many exceptions to the notion of the "S" stamp... I'v had others un S and found them upon inspection to be Solid Sitka spruce, I'll Im going to say is that with close eye on the sound hole edge where you typically will see the lamination clearly with that seam... and I have seen that on many, the few Iv had like this Tak F340 in this listing ...appears to be a solid grain pattern going all the way down and out of site suggesting its in fact a solid top... that being seen and also consider that Japanese builders can be crafy and know to conceal and or hide seams and such.... not having been there when built one can not say for sure,,, but it would appear to be a Solid top, Hay I dont make them I just restore and sell vintage guitars and this is what i'm selling here a truly beautifully maintained vintage instrument built to the great D-18 specifications by the Japanese factory Takamine over 40 years ago as it came from factory with the exception of the Bone nut/saddle and strings This listing is for the actual guitar seen in the pictures. Accessories we do carry many in stock and are sold seperately. This is as good as it gets folks short of spending the $1700-3400 for an equal condition Martin D-18 ... but if you go back to the 70's the Martin will go up $. The new thing for Takamine is they have released the NEW Takamine F340s in Japan and it has the new modern Headstock design which is fine.... They have a process now days to help simulate the 40 years of aging to the solid top inorder to capture the "real Actual aging" that this 1978 guitar already has its real aging tone that this guitar acquired by earning the old fashioned way... time and as far as the headstock and logo personally I know I'm not the only one but this Lawsuit era guitar is FAR BETTER than that F340s TT for over $1500 please these are under prices by todays standards... todays Japanese cost is $1599 The Lawsuit era ROCKs! mic drop Contact Joe to buy it at: JVGuitars@gmail.com
