1970s Takamine F400 12 string Vintage Martin Lawsuit guitar

Here is seen as it was back in the day is a mid 1970s Takamine F400s that I had forgotten we had had this guitar and we recently moved our warehouse facility content closer to where we are now to our NEW facility and in the move we have discovered several guitars that we missed and this is just one of them. These are just Quick pics for now taken in warehouse lighting with phone kind of crappy not doing this beauty any justice at all, she's beautifu as it is now fully original in her hard case for at least 2 of its decades making this a relitive low miles beauty as they say.... frets and fingerboard are excellent as is the entire body no cracks or checking noted just minimal honest patina wear of a well taken care of vintage acoustic 12 string guitar. This beauty has the Gold hardware of the 400s series as well as the upgraded woods of the F385 similar mahogany version with crrome hardware theis in my openion is the more tonefull example I received one myself as a gift in 1976 my 21st birthday WoW! I was blown away I played my 66 es335 and a 60's strat in those days my first good acoustic was the new Takamine F400s this same model this has the prefered tone woods its body -fingerboard - headstock overlay and bridge are all of the highest quality Indian rosewood back in this day the Japanese manufacturers had and used the better woods than the US counterpart companies like Gibson - Guild and other companys that were struggeling finantially cutting back on the woods itself cost remember the 3 piece non matching tops on some 1970's Gibson guitars I do...anyways the Japan economy at this time was rockin and rollin and they had the woods the best aged tone woods and were built with amazingly find hand craftsmanship at such a fair cost this is an exceptional example as seen here quickly i my warehouse but what I have planned for is I will strip off strings - De-grime fully-rehydrate the woods..polish this entire guitars finish tnot to remove patina but to return to its glass like amazing vintage finish this one has that going on, I'll be adjusting the trussrod threw out the entire set up stages and it doesnt look like much fret wear if any but at minimum I will polish these frets to mirrior finish and if required I would level - recrown and polish them but at this point Im not sure it needs that, I will replace the old cheep plastic NUT-SADDLE + Bridge pins to be replaced by Bone nut and saddle and upgrad the bridge pins to solid Ebony with decrotive abalone dot with brass ring high resonating pins for a huge overall tonal upgrade and of course a new set of high quality 12 strings... I have high expectations for this beauty buy that point this will not take long. This guitar comes with its hard shell case. There is a reason so many greats have recorded with these so many great endorcer pros in these days for the Takamine brand this was built in the hayday for Lawsuit excellent reproductions of the Martin for a fraction $ to find one pretty clean is harder to do and is the trick to getting a great one. New pics will be uploaded when I have coimpleted the upgrade work. If interested to purchase contact Joe at: jvguitars@gmail.com
